Description
This course is designed to introduce the students to the concept and application of the academic research paper and its components. The ability to understand a thesis and utilize critical thinking in order to produce synthesis is also featured. In addition, the course features genre studies and will develop the student’s ability to analyze various analytic problem sets and discover a creative solution that is rooted in the student’s own intellectual strengths while building other areas for the student’s academic and personal growth. By the end of the course the student will create a self-exploratory research paper of collegiate quality. English composition is a required course for all students at the CIU.
